Creating in community
Why do I choose weddings as the medium for my art?
Because they allow me to make something that fulfills me, but really isn’t about me. It's about the community of people that come together on one day: All of your childhood and college era friends, immediate and extended family, new and old plus-ones, and vendors who may only know you through a few emails exchanged. They’re your people!
I get to be part of your community for this one incredibly intimate moment in your lives. It’s so much more than a job for me. It’s a gift.
I want to be remembered by your inner circle as someone who filled the room with more happiness. As someone who was able to truly see them (and you!) as they were; Fully living in the now of your wedding day.
To be part of something larger than themselves.
And that gift is what all artists crave;

Lost are the rushed and repeated poses in the same hallway as the weekend before.
Found is an approach to wedding day coverage for seekers and searchers. Every wedding I shoot is a fresh roll of film, not to be repeated again.
